Bronzy glazed shiny gold
is the colour of my favourite
terracota pot.
Large turquoise and
round was my Granny's
door step pot.
Roman figurines
all over a rectangular
planter pot.
Blue ceramic bird
feeder stands
alone on a spike
Shiny mini mosaic tiles
catch the light on two
coasters now.

December theme
In the light of the day what do we see?
Sunlight through the scaffolding shines
That is art I see.
The kites gliding from on high
Massive wingspan distracts out vision
from down on the road below.
Robin redbreast's round black eyes.
Blackbirds chasing on the hard
crisp grass. Search for nourishment
from their human friend.
Darkness is falling to end another
winter's day.
The moon is shining very bright
and the twinkling stars
shine down on us below.

Mosaic Pots or Mirrors
Art Forms
The simplicity of working with natural materials is the way we have always been;
learning an old craft and making it something amazing.
Clay is from our Earth dug up years ago and here
for us to experiment and play with to make a unique gift which is to be admired.
The eye of the artist is able to observe the best combination of colours and shades
of the rainbow. I love the colours we find in Art all around us all the time. Capture the
shades and textures of a beautiful 'thing' and be proud of what we can achieve.

Pottery is an ancient art.
Art comes from somewhere deep within the soul.
Today I may produce a shiny glazed finished plate.
Last week rough and bubbly turquoise stars and
hanging shapes.
Clay all soft and smooth on the potter's wheel.
Shaped, curved and complete.
Biscuit fired and ready to glaze. How will it turn out?
That is all part of the fun and enjoyment of this ancient art.
